A glass that will still endure even after 30 years

No plastic that scratches after just a few days, no blown glass that cracks at the edge of the workbench.

The Valmont watch is equipped with mineral glass with a scratch-resistant treatment, the same found in watches costing hundreds of euros. The same glass that Eoin has used in his workshop for ten years. The glass has remained unchanged.

One sapphire glass for a lifetime. That is all you need. Customers of Eoin have been wearing their Valmont watch since the very first weeks.

The guilloché dial stands out even more in natural light.

A strap you feel from the very first moment

No thin, stiff strap that leaves marks on the wrist after two hours. The genuine leather strap with croco texture of the Valmont watch is made from full-grain leather, hand-stitched and polished by Eoin’s saddle maker.

A solid 316L strap, hand-polished and brushed. The clasp is adjusted for a clear, firm closure. Does not wear out over time.

The metal develops a light patina over the years and only becomes more beautiful.

Unlike silicone straps that age poorly, this one improves with time.

Standard width of 18 mm. Replacement possible with any common strap.

No worries, even in the rain or by the sea

A fully waterproof watch does not exist in the higher segment. Not at this price.

Each Valmont watch is individually tested in a water-resistance bath in the workshop before shipping.

Not in batches. Not on an assembly line. Each piece, one by one. Up to a pressure equivalent to 30 meters depth.

It withstands rain, the sink, and the pool.

That is the difference between wearing a watch and forgetting that you are wearing it.

the man behind the watch

Eoin Ó Muircheartaigh — 67 years old, 1 workshop, 0 machines

Show this page to someone who understands it. What matters most: everything you see on this page has passed through his hands. Not by a machine. Not by a subcontractor. By himself.

384 watches, assembled for less than €65 per piece. When they are gone, they will never be produced again.

“ I do not want charity. I want my watches to end up on the wrists of people who appreciate what they have. ”

Eoin prefers that his watches are worn rather than resold.

Declan Byrne, 47 years old, Dublin | Verified purchase

“ I received it two months ago. Three trips, hundreds of kilometres on foot, went into the sea twice. It hasn’t lost a second. I don’t understand how this can be sold at this price. ”

Seán Gallagher, 66 years old, Cork | Verified purchase

“ My husband gave me a Valmont watch for our 35th wedding anniversary. I wear it every Monday. When people see it, they ask me where I bought it. That is all I needed to know. I will always keep wearing it. ”

Patrick O’Connell, 62 years old, Galway | Verified purchase

“ I used to buy my watches around €220, and quickly replaced them with models of €330. None of them lasted. Since the Valmont watch, it is the first time I have not felt the need to buy a new one. ”

Liam Murphy, 63 years old, Limerick | Verified purchase

“ My wife asked me why I have been buying the same watch every year for two years. I gave her the answer: because it is the best decision I have made in years. ”
